An Ad is like a Job in the same way an ice cream cone is a sundae. You can ask someone how their work search is going. They can say they clipped 100 ads, but until they go through applying for the job it doesn't mean much.

Job Search Log gives you the tools to organize your job search by finding job posts, collecting the ads you are interested in and creating a dynamic "mail merged" cover letter. The next step in the process is applying for the job.


Add Job Page in Job Search Log

Notice that when you save an existing ad as a job, the information from the ad is inserted into the job. When you create a job in Job Search Log, you have the option to print the custom cover letter or send the Cover Letter as an email. Section of Add a Job Form where you select the Cover Letter to Include and any attachments like a resume or references. You can specify which cover letter you wish to email to a job along with the attachments (resume, references). If you wish you can send follow-up, thank you and any other type of correspondence from the company letters page.

Like every page in Job Search Log, only you will see the ads you've saved since they are tied to your private Job Search Log profile.
